SPACE Start – from a cloud of matter

The exhibition "from a cloud of matter" of the SPACE Start Collective (Katarzyna Godyń-Skoczylas, Małgorzata Kaczmarska).

The exhibition is curated by the SPACE Start artistic collective. We invited to the exhibition:

Joanna Gawlikowska, resin lab, Grzegorz Skoczylas, dŻiNna / Maciej Słota, Elżbieta Sowa and Dorota Wąsik.

The title of the exhibition alludes to an encyclopedic description of the evolution of a star - from a cloud of interstellar matter. The presentation scenario freely refers to the beginning of the world described in the Bible. We kept the division into individual days of creation and each subsequent day of the exhibition developed it with works related to our interpretation of a given day. So:

day 1 - "Let there be light" - performance by dŻiNn / Maciej Słota

day 2 - "Let there be a firmament in the middle of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters!" - video projection by Elżbieta Sowa

day 3 - "Let the earth bring forth green plants: grasses bearing seeds, fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit in which there are seeds according to their species" - we present the works of resin lab

day 4 - "Let there be celestial bodies shining on the vault of heaven" - we present photos and videos of our authorship created in a space arranged by Dorota Wąsik, using specific elements - one of them, as a collector's item, with the consent of the collector (DW) also exhibited at the exhibition

day 5 - "Let the waters swarm with a swarm of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth, under the canopy of heaven!" - musical composition and visualization by Grzegorz Skoczylas

day 6 - "Make a man" - we present photos and video of our authorship of a typical aesthetic medicine treatment performed on ourselves by Dr. Joanna Gawlikowska, this topic is supplemented by our images created in 2019 inspired by an obsession with beauty entitled "Phenomena"

day 7 - closing of the exhibition culminating in the artistic action of dŻiNna / Maciej Słota "ejection of words".
